If you are new to KYACAC, you might wonder,
"What is the College Counseling Information Exchange (CCIE)?"
We are glad you asked!
The College Counselor Information Exchange (CCIE) is a key professional development and networking event hosted by KYACAC — the Kentucky Association for College Admission Counseling. CCIE is an annual event designed to bring together college admission representatives and high school counselors (and other college access professionals) from across the state to share timely and relevant information about the college admission process. It supports KYACAC’s mission of fostering collaboration, access, and support for students pursuing postsecondary education.
Exchange updates and trends in college admissions, financial aid, and academic programs.
Strengthen partnerships between high schools and colleges to better support students.
Provide professional learning for counselors through panels, workshops, or presentations.
Showcase new programs or initiatives from colleges and universities.
College admissions representatives present updates about their institutions, in a college-fair style format (admission criteria, scholarships, deadlines, campus changes, etc.).
High school and community-based counselors receive information to better guide their students.
Also included are structured presentations and/or roundtable discussions.
Networking opportunities for K–12, higher ed, and access professionals.
High school counselors
College and university admission professionals
Community-based organization staff
Independent educational consultants
Anyone supporting Kentucky students in their college-going process
CCIE helps bridge the gap between secondary and postsecondary education by ensuring everyone has the most current and accurate information to support students. In a constantly shifting college admission landscape, events like this help demystify the process, build stronger professional networks, and center student success across the state.
