• contact potential vendors and sponsors
• help vendors and sponsors with the registration process as needed
• gather content from sponsors for advertising during conference
• ensure vendors and sponsors are taken care of during conference

Sessions

• promote session submissions when it opens
• read and evaluate session proposals
• approve session proposals
• communicate with all presenters about details regarding their presentation times
• moderate sessions during conference 

Preconference Reception

& Social

• coordination of food, games, music and additional entertainment
• work with conference planner and conference chair to make final arrangements with locations
• promote and elicit participation from conference attendees 

Guiding the Way to Impact

(GWI)

• work with the IAS chair to create the schedule
• reach out to potential presenters
• communicate details with all presenters about details regarding their session times
• create a safe environment for attendees to interact with the content

Digital and Media

• create conference logo
• design PowerPoint template for presenters
• create graphics for social media platforms
• promote conference on social media platforms
• build the conference app with Guidebook
• create advertisements and banner ads for conference sponsors
• capture photos during the conference

Scholarships

• promote the Kimberly D. Merritt scholarship application when it opens
• read and review all submissions
• select scholarship recipients
• communicate with selected students about attending award ceremony at conference
• present scholarships to recipients at conference

Day of Logistics & General Volunteers

• help with registration and check in throughout the conference
• assist the sessions committee with moderation of sessions
• assist with silent auction management and ticket sales for raffles
• be a friendly face and answer general questions from conference attendees
