2018 New Admissions Counselor Workshop ("Jabez")

Cost: $200/person


The New Admissions Counselor Workshop or "Jabez" is led by a group of  veteran Admissions professionals.  During the workshop, professionals will be briefed on the many aspects of the admissions profession. Attendees will have the opportunity to make contact with admissions professionals from across the state, sharing ideas and building personal and professional connections. 


Topics include: 

· Travel Safety and Travel Planning Tips

· Relationship Building Strategies 

· Diversity

· Financial Aid

· Etiquette and Ethics in Admissions

· Professional Development opportunities

· Campus Event planning

· Generational Communication Strategies


Program Details: 

Participants of the workshop will be lodged at the Lake Cumberland Educational Center. Meals will be provided on site. Registration fee covers all expenses (materials, lodging, meals).


The Lake Cumberland Education Center is a rustic lodge setting. Dress for the workshop is casual and cell service is limited. Check-in will be July 29, 2018 at 4:30pm ET and the workshop will conclude July 31 at 1:00pm ET.


An itinerary will be provided in the weeks prior to the workshop to all who register.
