Admission Practices

The KYACAC Admission Practices Committee was established to educate admission and counseling professionals, as well as nonmembers within the profession, on the ethical standards adopted and promoted by NACAC. The Admission Practices Committee also monitors compliance within the NACAC Statement of Principles of Good Practices (SPGP) and responds to possible violations of the SPGP, with the goal of ensuring full compliance among all KYACAC members and nonmember affiliates. Finally, the Admission Practices Committee serves to promote awareness of ethical practices and breaking down the college admission process.

Specific committee responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and responding to violations of the NACAC SPGP that are brought forward
  • Keeping KYACAC members informed about the NACAC SPGP and the work of the AP committee
