2017 CCIE - Friday, Sept. 8th

CCIE Schedule

High School & College University Baskets:

A CCIE tradition is that each High School and each College/University bring a basket of goodies (shirts, pennants, general swag) to be raffled off as door prizes.  We will also have an auction for the top baskets.  All proceeds benefit KYACAC programs and initiatives.

College Materials Drop Off:

Special thanks to UPS for coordinating our college materials drop off again this year.  College/University Representatives will be able to drop off materials Thursday, Sept. 7th from 4pm-7pm and Friday, Sept. 8th from 7:30am-8:30am.  Material drop off location is the College Center building (See campus map below.)  It is the building next to our parking for CCIE.

Currently, there are 100 requests from counselors to receive materials.  I would expect each college will want to prepare between 150-180 pieces to be included in the materials drop off.

College Materials for High School Counselors:

NEW THIS YEAR: Each college/university may bring materials that will be dropped off prior to the start of CCIE.  UPS will then collect all the materials and prepare them in a bag for high school counselors to pick up as they depart from CCIE. We will not be automatically shipping materials to the high schools this year.  If you are unable to pick up your requested materials as you depart CCIE, please contact me directly and we can discuss options for getting the materials to your school. Thank you UPS for your support of CCIE.

Two Minute Updates

This year we will be offering college two minute updates again in addition to educational breakout sessions.  We will be assigning colleges to give their update during one of the three breakout sessions.  This will allow college attendees to still attend at least two of the breakout sessions.  During your assigned two minute update session, each college is permitted to speak to attendees for no more than two minutes.  The update is open format, but generally updates involve covering changes to the application process, staff changes, and other pertinent information.  There will also be networking time available during each session to allow you to speak more one-on-one with counselors.

Parking:

Below is a campus map of Spalding University, our host site for CCIE.  Parking will be available in the lots noted below.  Both lots are accessible via York St.
